I enjoy teaching music because I am able to give my students the ability to learn the musical language. Every student experiences an essential part of education that promotes creativity, confidence, and cultured upbringing.

As a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to hold a number of professional titles in music instruction. Through these experiences, I have been fortunate enough to educate a diverse group of elementary, middle-school, and high-school students. I have held guitar instructor positions at: Blooming Academy (Westminster), Russian School of Music (Westminster), and Amadeus School of Music (Granada Hills).

From 2010 to 2012, I led an after-school music program for Youth Policy Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing academic assistance and enrichment activities to empower youth. Due to this organization I was able to work on site at Los Angeles International Charter High School. Our mission statement was to develop academically successful, confident students by exposing them to the power of music. It was really important for us to create a quality program which strived to create a safe, welcoming environment that fostered community building, self-confidence, academic success, and exposure to college and career opportunities.

I am very involved and energetic in my teaching, and enjoy using innovative ways to keep students keenly interested by catering to their unique musical goals. My students follow a well-prepared repertoire catalogue that I have devised to ensure progress on a weekly basis. Students are taught correct technique, tone production, music terminology, sight-reading, chord charts, improvisation, and performance practice.

My guitar program also includes contemporary pop/rock material. Learning to play other genre styles further diversifies students’ knowledge and adds a fun addition to lessons. Hence, students are encouraged to work on their favorite contemporary song selections to ensure a well-balanced guitar education. Ultimately, students are engaged with their instrument through weekly guitar lessons in order to activate their creativity and interest levels.
